John Hobbs, MEd
John has been a competitive endurance athlete since his high school days where he was an active triathlete. A knee injury led him to road cycling early in his college career. His interest in the endurance sports, specifically road cycling, led him to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Southwestern University in Georgetown Texas and gain experience performing research on the anaerobic capacity in humans. Throughout his time as an undergraduate, he also worked his way up to a Category 2 road racer. Following graduation from Southwestern University, John set about completing a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Texas in Austin.
During his time at UT, John formed a relationship with Source Endurance through an active internship program which exposed to him to the endurance consulting applications of his studies. In addition to working with Source Endurance John spent time teaching Exercise Physiology and managing a Kinesiology lab at the collegiate level.
Relocating to Maine has given John the opportunity to explore a new realm of sports as well as return to the classroom to further his studies. While still enjoying the time on the bike, John has taken on new endeavors in climbing and mountaineering providing a wider exposure to training methods and the ability to guide individuals to a wider variety of goals.

Joseph Lafico, MA
Joseph brings a lifelong love of all things active to the SE family. A shoulder injury while boxing in his college days lead to him picking up a bike to commute to physical therapy and he never looked back. From there its an all-to-familiar tale of Lycra, sweat and long hours of competition in adventure racing and triathlons. While attempting to increase his bike splits for the multi-sport activities he joined his local cycling team and has steadily risen through the ranks to his current racing level as an established Texas Cat 1 cyclist.
Joseph's professional background has always had him working directly with people. After completing his Masters Degree in Social Work at the University of Houston, Joseph worked in Houston’s county hospital with pediatrics, general medicine, and psychiatric divisions. Joseph's enjoyment with working directly with people lead him to explore the world of Sales and Marketing and in 2004 he moved to Austin to a position in the medical field that was sales and marketing specific.
Joseph comes to Source Endurance with a solid background one-to-one consulting and counseling experience as well as many years of direct sales experience. In his role at SE you can expect to see Joseph at local and national events and on the street as an advocate for Source Endurance. (Also, don't miss the opportunity to grab his wheel in a race, he's a good draft!)
