Name Alan Ting Coach: David Wenger Years Pro: Not Just Yet.... Alan is an elite junior rider from Spring Texas. He has lived in Texas his entire life but both his parents were born in Hong Kong, who have taught him to speak Chinese. Alan is a full time student who devotes all his free to studying, training, looking at bike tech, music, and occasionally going out with his mates. He has brought back two National wins on the track in the years 2005 and 2007, and hopes to win a few more before his junior career is over; particularly one on the road. Alan's ultimate goals before graduating to the senior ranks are both to gain a spot on the Junior Worlds podium on the track, particularly the individual pursuit, and to ride with the US development team in Europe. Besides cycling Alan enjoys relaxing by playing violin in his symphony or sitting down at the piano. For the future Alan hopes to attend the University of Texas where he plans on studying international business and training with his coach David Wenger. 1st- Junior National Cycling Championships 500m TT, 15- 16 1st- Texas State Criterium Championships, Cat3 2nd- Memorial Park Criterium Final, Pro-1-2-3 |
