Since competing in his first triathlon in 1988, triathlons have been Brandon’s passion. He has raced every distance from Ironkids to Ironman and has represented the US at 4 World Championships and qualified for several more. Shortly after transitioning from being a high school swimmer and cross country runner, he turned to triathlons and won his first of many Texas State Triathlon championships in 1993. After finishing 2nd overall at the USA Triathlon National Amateur Championships in 2003, Brandon began racing as a professional in 2004 and has since competed on 5 continents.

Brandon moved to Austin in 1998 after graduating from the University of Houston with a BS in Chemical Engineering. After walking on to the UH Cross Country team and running with them for a season, he began running with the RunSport Running Club and the Houston Harriers for the next 4 years. Brandon was an age group swimmer at the First Colony Swim Team in Sugarland, Texas as well as a high school cross country runner and swimmer.

Brandon’s coaching career and experience began in 1994 as the head coach of a summer swim team. Since then he has been coaching and mentoring triathletes of all ages and abilities since then. His athletes have ranged from Olympic caliber swimmers turned triathletes to new athletes with little or no previous athletic experience.
