BIG RESULTS. National Championships, World Championships, Half Ironman wins and more...!
It’s been a busy few weeks for Source Endurance athletes.
Last weekend, Noelle Wilhite, a Chicago-based triathlete coached by SE Consultant Kelly Handel, finished 8th in the Almere ITU Long Distance World Championships in the Netherlands on August 31. This event consisted of a 4km swim, 120km bike and a 30km run. Noelle qualified for this event one year ago at the US Halfmax Championships. Way to go, Noelle!
Nick Gonzales of Houston started his mountain bike season off with a podium finish taking 3rd overall in the Cat 1 Men 40-49 at The Camp Eagle Classic MTB Festival. Just the start of a strong MTB campaign for Nick this season.
Source Endurance Pro triathlete Richard Freer *took an *overall win at Prairieman Half Ironman on September 7th. Freer is preparing for Ironman Florida this November and this was a good test event for his improving fitness. In fact Richard has seen his 1/2 Ironman power average increase over 35 watts since May of this year under the guidance of Senior Consultant Derick Williamson.
SE’s Steve Yore took an 8th overall at the Vapor Trail 125, an invitation only race held in Salida, CO covering some of the states most physically and technically demanding trails. This as he sets his sights on 24 hours of Moab in October.
Kevin Kremke made his way to San Jose CA this past week for The USA Cycling Masters Track National Championships with the goal of brining some hardware back to Houston and he didn’t disappoint. Kevin started the racing off by taking 3rd in the individual pursuit in a PR time, he followed that up with Gold and the National Title in the points race dominating the race from start to finish, Kevin then finished his racing off with a silver in the team pursuit.
Last week SE athlete’s put in solid performances at the final Memorial Park Crit of the season!
