Good Times at Memorial Park Crit
The SE crew of Derick Williamson, Dave Wenger, Joseph LaFico, and Stefan Rothe headed down to Houston this past Wednesday to visit the Memorial Park Crit and connect with some fellow Source Endurance clients. The big blue tent along with the white cooler was a good place to do so. While Derick brought his running shoes and followed the masses around Memorial Park on two legs, the other three Sourcies lined up for the 1/2/3 criterium in an attempt to represent the white and baby-blue. SE athlete Kevin Kremke was – as usual – the pre-race favorite and once again proved why he’s the boss in Houston. After following each threatening attack by various riders, KK jumped on Rothe’s wheel with 30minutes to go and quickly built a 30second lead along with junior Cody Foster. According to Rothe, it was not pretty: “He’s officially the new Diesel; he definitely made us hurt in that break. The only time I got to recover, was when I took my pull at the front.” KK eventually ended up winning the 5th (?) edition of this year’s Memorial Park Crit Series while Rothe and Foster followed, respectively.
