SE athletes excel at Couples Triathlon - Freer Wins!
SE elite athlete Richard Freer took the overall win at The Couples Triathlon in Austin, TX. The long course specialist showed he’s got some speed covering the 800m swim, 12mi bike and 5k cross country course in a time of 1:02:30, nearly 90 seconds ahead of his nearest competitor.
SE junior elite athlete Avery Visser took a strong 2nd overall as well. The 15 year old rising star was only 30 seconds out of first!
In her first triathlon ever Mel Sotos took 8th overall!
Michelle Garel (1st W 30-34), Yancey Arrington (3rd M 25-29), Hugh Manning (4th M 40-44), and Brad Holden all posted excellent races as well.
