Have you ever bought the latest gear, trained hard for 6 months, and lined up for your race only to have a sub-par performance? Come join the staff at Source Endurance while we walk through some of the key points to make sure that your race day goes off without a hitch. We will cover the basics of race week preparation as well as offer our tips and hints to help you be best prepared when race day arrives. Brandon will cover topics such as:
- Equipment preparation.
- Race week nutrition.
- Race day nutrition.
- Mental preparation.
- The “Pre-Ride” or “Pre-Drive”.
- RACE DAY procedure.
- When Plan “A” becomes Plan “B”.
Brandon Marsh is one of the staff consultants at Source Endurance. He has an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston. Brandon has worked with single and mulitsport athletes of all abilities from Danskin participants to Hawaii Ironman and World Championship qualifiers. Brandon has been racing since 1988 and is a multiple time Texas State Triathlon Champion, Regional Triathlon Champion, and has been ranked as one of the top-200 International Triathlon Union Triathletes in the world. Recently, he has finished 14th at the 2007 Ironman 70.3 World Championships, qualified for the 2007 ITU Long Course World Championships where he placed 25th, and has several top-10 finishes in the Ironman 70.3 series.
